Thank youHi Katlynn – and congratulations on your imminent arrival!
I’m so glad you like the pattern. Written,Chart and a video! That blanket does sound pretty! This pattern can be made with any worsted weight yarn, really – I’ve used lots of different ones and they all look great!Your blanket looks great!
I found it on Pinterest and I absolutely love it! The finished blanket is about 3′ x 3′, and fit over my niece’s car seat very well, with enough overlap to keep it in place.THANK YOU SO MUCH. I posted pics of the one I made on SewForum.com.
Cut the yarn, leave a long strand for fastening.Stuff light as you are working your rounds.8 inches/20 cm in black for the mouthRow 5: Inc, 11 sc, inc, ch 3 turn = 15 scRow 12 -15: Repeat row 8 and 9 four more times, ending with a row 9. It takes a lot of practice to develop even tension.
if theres not one out already:)It depends on how many colors you’re using – if it’s just two, I’d leaving them attached and work a border around the edges to cover them up. This is gorgeous! But keep that ruler handy – every crafter has their own gauge, and depending on how you work and what type of yarn you’re using, you may need to add (or subtract) 4 stitches to get close to the size you want. Sl st in the next on the side. I could probably figure out how to do it with two rectangle together, but I really like the ones that have a straight line join up in the front and back (KWIM?) I hope to make it with bulky yarn so it will go faster.
Wanted to thank you for the pattern.
I wish I could tell you how to attach a picture but I have no idea – I know way more about crafting than I do about computers, alas!CR, others have I believe, but I haven’t!
Just a quick question about switching colours. I’m so glad to hear it. Sl st in the second chain. Chain 3, 4 dc in the same stitch, sl st in the next 2 stitches, repeat 3 more times until you get to the end of the row. Thanks so much for saying so, Kim!I’m so glad to “hear” it Lyndal! Repeat until end of row.
Just would like to thank you for sharing your blackberry salad striped blanket. I am so glad you posted the videos!!!! I made this one 48″(L)39″(W) and know it will fit perfectly on her twin bed. There will be 27 bobbles on the rows that have 4 sc at each end, and 28 bobbles on the rows that have 2 sc at each end.
Can you tell me how I would do the edging?
Any idea if I was to use one colour how many skeins?Hi there!
I love the texture of it! Thanks for sharing this.Definately my next project. I’m still tossing it around in my mind. The Raspberry Stitch pattern is a textured bobble stitch with staggered bunches of stitches that resemble a raspberry bush.
Thanks again!☺Thank you, and thanks for sharing the link! Any thoughts on making a pattern for that? Thank you for sharing.
.. I bought yarn and started to make the blanket but kept coming out with the wrong amount of stitches for ending even numbered rows. I would like to add one but don’t know what would look best.
Thank you so much for the pattern and video!Hi Vicki!
I hope you share pictures Thanks!
Thank you for sharing. I usually do Granny blankets for new babies but I wanted something special for mine. Thanks again! You’re very welcome! Thank you, sorry I’m so dense.Thank you Tamara for your reply.
“Skip the turning chain” – this refers to the ch1 at the start of row 2. This crochet blueberry pattern uses US stitch abbreviation. I think I will be using your pattern a lot in the future.I’m new to crochet and am going to try this for my first baby due in February. Make 2Row 9: 1 sc in each stitch. I did 2 sc in each bobble stitch and 1 in the normal sc.Row 3: Inc, 9 sc, inc, ch 3 turn = 13 scRow 8: *1 bo, 1 sc* repeat 8 times. Thanks Tamara! She grows in bogs in the mountains and she isn’t easy to find. I’m not 100%, but I *think* they were Terracotta, Maize, White, Berry, Lime, Violet, and Seaspray. I also would like to add a border too.
