The resident had confronted a strange woman in the yard at 6 a.m. that morning. Sometime after 3:20 a.m., Westmont police reported a vehicle that had been reported stolen in Winnebago County had fled when an officer tried to stop it.

Walker, 35, of the 5200 block of Drexel, Chicago, was cited for illegal display of license plates at 3:20 a.m. June 26 at 83rd Street and County-Line Road after an officer determined his front license plate had been reported stolen from a trailer in Chicago. Multiple car burglaries reported in Darien. He identified the owner from a receipt in the bag. Police advised her to lock her car doors.An officer found a bag of clothes in the street on the 8500 block of Johnston Road at 4:15 a.m. June 22.
