We deserve more options!I’m disappointed by your attitude toward the discs in your review (it’s almost palpable that you don’t want to like discs in your video, disproportionally so to the actual complaints you have about it) as discs are frankly life changing for me, And I hope that it won’t deter someone else in a similar situation as me to give it a try.It did take me three cycles to figure out to place flex without discomfort. That is not safe whatsoever to wash and reuse a plastic ring like flex. They are not approved to be safe for reusing (though some do use them for a full cycle before trashing them) which poses a problem for your wallet, as well as the environment. What would the difference be between washing the disposable one and washing the reusable cups?I am a full convert to reusable menstrual discs. If you can feel your FLEX Disc inside you, that’s a good sign it’s not all the way in place. Not fun times. However, the steps below can still be attempted before replacing the drive. And I don’t have spend money on new products every month.I also wash and re-use 1 flex throughout my period. But unlike Dunemi I only use new one per 24 hrs.
All disc drives support the ability to gently press the tray to put it back into the drive. If a disc isn't seated correctly, or a foreign object was put in the drive by a child, it can cause the drive tray to remain out. Overall, I think the Flex is great for someone who wants to have period sex or get away from constantly have to change tampons.Flex claims to reduce period cramps and allow for no-mess period sex—here’s what I thought after trying it for a week. Like Dunemi my sister mentioned that when you flex your muscles as if youre going per it empties itself out and guess what, it does! Let me say again, NO!!!!!!! It was causing too many problems. If you're concerned about damaging the disc (if not already damaged), you may want to consider removing the drive and disassembling it. It’s been wonderful and because I was used to taking it in and out I didn’t have the same learning curve.
If a disc is stuck in the drive try using a pair of needle nose pliers and remove the disc. It should go right back into place when you stand up.
I couldn’t hook my finger and pull it’s hard and felt stuck when pulling, used lube to help but it was horrible feeling and felt like it was pulling my insides or getting stuck on them!
That’s what makes it a partnership. You can put it in your purse or pocket just in case you need one; that’s what I did. The cups were not kind. My cup leaked overnight. I just try SoftCup today and wow! Won't. Do not wash it and reuse flex. And using 12 a year, I am totally fine spending $1 a cycle.Just tried the soft disc for the first time seemed amazing. I still wanted to give em a shot! What?! Then I noticed how many infections I was starting to get.
