Dries and Dry/Dropper rigs are the way to go right now with fish spread out into riffles, runs, and pockets.During our main fishing season (April through October), the fly shop is open six to seven days a week. From Chukar Trail down to Red Canyon, the fishing is excellent. The trips that came off yesterday said it was good fishing. Dry/dropper rigs are also producing well to fish the drop-offs and deeper runs. The Lower Gunnison is running around 7600 CFS at the Confluence and is clearing. Stones, mayflies, and caddis are all on the menu. Flies that are working well through the gorge are blue winged olives, San Juan worms, caddis, and streamers.
