He knew the people interpreting this movie in the industry mostly had worthless philosophy degrees, useless art degrees Or journalism degrees they never could really grasp. As the title suggests, Tom and Gemma were kept in a vivarium—an enclosed environment with semi-natural conditions for the purpose of observation. When she attacks him with a shovel, he turns into an alien again, lifts up the sidewalk, and disappears underneath it. Vivarium is a lab-rat experiment of a film, with flat, facetious humour and a single insidious joke maintained and developed with monomaniacal intensity. And all this while, House #9 probably represented 9 months of childbearing, until the boy could step out in the real world. By this time, the real estate agent from the early moments of the film seems to have grown old. But, put in that position, killing something human like, like that would not be easy for most.

Although I missed it, this has to be a setup for an invasion. Appreciate what you have and quit wasting time wondering what might be waiting yonder. Not these idiot aliens imitating humans. After all an ant can't fight the boot. So going by all of this, it becomes pretty evident that the couple was abducted by an alien species who used them as a host and then “released” them.With what follows, from being comical and funny, the film subtly drops its tone into a darker domain and presents a story that oozes with absurdity and existentialism.
