Nokia 8 started receiving the Pro Camera update for its Camera app starting yesterday.
Nokia confirmed that it was already working on Nokia 8 camera update to bring the Pro camera mode on Nokia 8. The HMD Product Manager, Juho Sarvikas, explained through Twitter the reason why it took so long for the company it implement the function: Yeah so we accidentally linked the wrong camera APK to Nokia 8 ?. And irritating focus jumping with no way put to manual focus in video.Come on how hard can it be to get a good camera app for a so called flagship phone.So in my opinion I need shoose between good video or audio.And in picture mode you can not lock focus and exposure for more then 5 seconds before go to default.

Nokia Mobile released the update for one of the two apps that come preinstalled on Nokia phones. Considering 8 was released about two years ago, that there will be no Android Q update and HMD is moving into quarterly security updates for it and despite promises the camera application received fairly minor updates so far, it's extremely unlikely that HMD will release an updated camera application with additional features at this point.
