I spent 4 hours trying to resolve this problem, used a lot of cellular minuets, calling FedEx and Volusion. Every customer is hugely important to us and we want to ensure each merchant has a positive experience. To address the fury over merchant discount rates 4% is the going rate. It takes forever and I mean forever to get any support question answered via ticket and on the phone you are always told ‘we have to look into it’ and we’ll call you back or ‘you need to call back’, etc. I only know it because I have saved it. Just did that.. Let’s see what kind of charges I’m going to see next month.I’m so glad i switched over to Big Commerce and Square for my merchant services.Lots of negative reviews that seem to reflect frustration of dealing with ecommerce technical side of things rather than volusions lack of competence of service….may be I’m of the lucky few- but always was able to resolve any issues I’ve had in a timely manner as well as getting my questions answered when needed.

I can’t move too soon because I will have to migrate the data again. I have been with Volusion for 5 years, constantly they have fallen behind other providers and not done anything to help bring stores up to what is expected in todays ecommerce worldRecently I was informed by customers no payments were going through. I never have and never will use their merchant services. Then when he did, his make some changes to my system and his ignorance shut down my shipping for a week.

..I also wanted to give someone who is considering volusions ecommerce platform : it’s not all that horrible as you will read in reviews. Also as mentioned their suggestion pages are a joke. After having a merchant services account for 3 months, I had never received any kind of statement (despite the $10 a month statement fee). Just keep this in mind, If they ever tell you that they are “compatible” with paypal (like they did with me), hang the phone up and run away. Volusion has 3.3/5 stars on G2 and 4.2/10 stars on TrustRadius. It really forced me look at better solutions which I did and found that I could build a simple site of my own using Muse and I used the ECWID widget to insert the online store into my page. After a couple of months the system told me I needed to change my password and locked me out and would not allow me to change it or get into my account.

The hold times for tech support is unbearable. So am I happy? Depending on the needs of your business one of those platforms may be what you’re looking for. So 4/5 stars, minus one star for the crappy reports. These are really dishonest people and I feel sorry for the customer service people that have to be the front people for the crooked management. They have your debit card and when they debit lyour you are in their ball park, they own the score board and the rest of the town too. Store owners have widely been begging Volusion in the forums to change this for at least 5 years that I know of to no avail.I did some researched on other hosting and sites and merchant services before deciding to go with Volusion. I was made to buy a promotional package of $99.99. — with our insightful management system, which lets you see purchase history and contact information.Your store has a 99.9% uptime guarantee. And yes, as I read earlier you can get someone on chat but most know little to nothing so them helping you is like a toddler helping a bear up a flight of steps… a complete joke.
