Partnership alert! We currently have roller hockey leagues for youth on Saturday morning. Our goal at is to introduce and develop young players, so they will grow and love the game. Our main goal is for our AA players to develop their hockey skills in order to challenge for positions with our Jr. Coyotes Elite AAA teams each year. I would like to thank the NYHL Board of Directors and Coaches for their time and input during this process.  Although it was not an ideal situation, I am confident that the results we reached using our coaches’ evaluations and feedback, are similar to the results we would have reached if we had been able to host an on-ice tryout. To see the master schedule, with ALL ice time for ALL teams:We all look forward to seeing you at the rink this fall! Please click on the appropriate level below for the current Team Placements.Welcome to the NYHL!  On our website you should find the following features: schedules (including download), rosters, contact information and announcements.  In addition, there is a multi-schedule feature which allows you to view or download an integrated schedule for all your kids.Newburyport Youth Hockey Registration for the regular season is currently closed for the 2020-2021 Season. I would also like to remind families that we have intentionally rostered the 1 teams small and will be initiating a call-up period at the beginning of the season.  The purpose of the call-up period is to allow a few players that are currently rostered on the 2 Team an opportunity to play up with the 1 Team with the intention of being able to make a few permanent call-ups after the start of the season.  Please understand that permanent call-ups depend on the league having the registration numbers to support movement between teams.Enclosed please find the NYHL team placements for the 2020-2021 Youth Hockey Season. For additional information you can also reach out to our NYHL Mite Instructional Rep., Mike Bergeron, at mbbergeron@yahoo.com.Players will have two dedicated 50 minute practices each week and one cross ice game on Saturday afternoons.  All Instructional players will also have the option to skate on Sunday mornings with the learn to skate group to continue to work on their skating skills.  This program offers up to 4 hours of skating each week - by far the best deal for Instructional Hockey Programs in our area!Registration for the Newburyport Youth Hockey League's Mite Instructional Program is now open for the upcoming 2020-2021 season.  This program runs September through February of the 2020-2021 season.Mite Instructional Hockey is geared towards 1st time players that are interested in learning the sport of hockey and continuing to develop their skating and hockey skills.  This program is designed for girls and boys ages 5-8 (as of 12/31/20).  This is a great introduction to hockey for players and families and is super convenient.  All practices and games are located at the Graf Rink here in Newburyport.
